Structural studies on a secretion chaperone from Shigella flexneri and crystallographic explorations with a thermostable aldolase

This thesis describes structural studies of proteins from three distinct biological systems. The main focus is on the structure and function of Spa15, a type III secretion chaperone from the human pathogen Shigella flexneri, studied by X-ray crystallography and a variety of other biophysical and biochemical techniques.
