Noradrenergic neurons of the rat locus coeruleus studied by microdialysis

The noradrenergic system of the brain plays a crucial rol in many physiological and pathological processes. In the present thesis the dual-probe microdialysis method was
used to study the regulation of the noradrenaline release from the LC neurons. ln the first part of this thesis several properties of noradrenaline release and metabolism in thc LC and one of its projection areas the prefrontal cortex (PFC), were studied. Zie: Summary.
