The nearby field galaxy survey : a spectrophotometric study of 196 galaxies in the local field

The purpose of the present study is to accurately describe the distribution in the local galaxy population of (1) the magnitudes and colors, (2) emission and absorption line strengths, (3) star formation rate and star formation history, (4) morphology, and (5) structural parameters.
