The study of hadron dynamics in relativistic heavy ion collisions

In this thesis, pion emission patterns were studies in two reaction systems Ar + Ca and Au + Au at 1 GeV/u, with the aim to improve the understandiging of the pion production in relativistic heavy ion collisions. The motivation came from the observations of concave pion spectra by Brockmann et al [23] and Odyniec et al. [26] and from the resulting discussion about the observed shape. ...
