Metabolism and bioanalysis of the dopamine agonist N-0437

In this thesis the metabolic pathways of the new and very potent D-2 agnist 2-(N-propyl-N-2-thienylethylamino)-5-hydroxytetralin (N-0437) have been investigated in rats and monkeys after different dosing routes. In addition, some bioanalytical aspects of the drug wre studied in telation to its metabolism. The drug was synthesized at the department of Medicinal Chemistry and it has potential applications in Parkinson's deisease, schizophrenia and glaucoma. Readioactive experiments were carried out using [3H] N-0437 with the label in the propyl side chain. ...
