This thesis is concerned with synthetic macromolecules (polymers) wich contain fluoride and/or phosphonate groups. When aqueous solutions of these polymers are in contact with a solid phase (for example enamel) the polymer acculmulates at the interface. One may expectthat because of this phenomenon, called adsorption, a relativity high concentration of the cariostatic groups may become localized at the enamel surface, even when the surrounding solution is very dilute. ...
