(1968) Himmelbauer, Erich Eduard
For several decades, the cathode-ray oscilloscope has been an indispensable tool for the display and measurement of time-varying signals. Due to the progress in the art of electronics. the requirements which have to be met by these instruments and the associated cathode-ray tubes have become more and more stringent. The most essential of these are discussed in chapter 1 and the problem of achieving the highest deflection sensitivity for given values of useful scan, spot size and brightness is formulated. This problem is the main subject of this investigation.
